Products & Materials
What kind of materials do you use?
We are committed to quality. Our frames are crafted from premium all-wood options. We use Toxic-free, conservation-grade mat boards to protect your art from discoloration, and high-quality, shatter-resistant acrylic for glazing.
What's the difference between your acrylic options?
- Standard Acrylic: Offers crystal-clear viewing and is lighter and more durable than traditional glass.
- Non-Glare Acrylic: Features a matte finish that diffuses light and reduces reflections, perfect for brightly lit rooms.
- UV-Protective Acrylic: Blocks over 99% of harmful UV rays, preventing your photos and artwork from fading over time. This is highly recommended for preserving valuable pieces.
How do I choose the right size frame?
When you enter your artwork's dimensions in our custom framing studio, we automatically recommend appropriate frame and mat proportions. If you're unsure, a good rule of thumb is to choose a mat that is at least 1.5 to 2 times the width of the frame border.

Framing Tips from the Pros
Expert advice to help you frame your art like a professional. 🖼️
Choosing the Perfect Frame & Mat
- Match the Artwork, Not the Sofa: The frame's primary job is to complement the art it holds. Choose a style and color that enhances the artwork itself, rather than trying to match your room's decor perfectly. A well-framed piece will look good in any setting.
- Let It Breathe: A matboard is the border between the art and the frame. It's crucial as it prevents the art from looking cramped and keeps the acrylic from pressing directly on your piece. For most artwork, a classic white or off-white mat is a timeless choice that makes the colors pop.
- Proportions Matter: A common mistake is choosing a mat that's too thin. A wider mat often gives a more professional and elegant look. As a general rule, the mat should be significantly wider than the frame border.
How to Create a Stunning Gallery Wall
- Plan Your Layout First: Before you hammer a single nail, arrange your frames on the floor. Play with combinations, spacing, and orientations until you find a layout you love. Take a photo with your phone to use as a reference.
- Find Your Anchor: Start by hanging your largest or most prominent piece of art first. This piece should be positioned at eye level (roughly 57 inches from the floor). Arrange the other frames around this "anchor" piece.
- Keep Spacing Consistent: For a clean, cohesive look, maintain a consistent space between all your frames. A gap of 2-4 inches usually works best. Use a measuring tape to ensure uniformity.
- Unify with a Theme: Your gallery wall will look more intentional if it's unified by a theme. This could be a color palette (like black and white photos), a subject (like travel), or a consistent frame style (all black frames or all wood frames).
